peebles teach me how to be you
can we just talk about this for a minute
because seriously i have so much respect for the adventure time team. they’ve made a successful cartoon that isn’t random poop and fart jokes for a solid eleven minutes. sure, adventure time has its immature moments, but then there’s parts like this.
pb’s backed up against the wall in a position that’s way too common in today’s society. you can tell she’s scared and uncomfortable. so what does she do? she beats the shit out of ricardio.
she doesn’t “play nice”, she doesn’t “let him down gently”, she tears off his limbs and stomps on his face. then ricardio tries to play the nice guy card and she has none of it. it’s refreshing to see something aimed at children that doesn’t state that girls need to be polite and sweet and stand by while someone makes them uncomfortable.
basically, i love this show and i love how it teaches girls something that’ll actually come in handy some day. god fucking bless.
And this is back on the dash again. Always reblog.
greeting a marriage proposal with a fist fight? I like it.
10 Photos from Ferguson that won’t make it to the mainstream media.
A community in unity. These photos are via Twitter from a Journalist named Ryan Schuessler (@RyanSchuessler1) who unlike some journalists/reporters, chooses to focus on the activities truly going on right now. He’s not focusing on how much of a “hell-hole” some of them are reporting it to supposedly be. But a community of people who are just seeking Justice For Michael Brown. If you can look at these photos and still buy into the mainsteam media’s game, or feel sorry for the police here in the slightest bit - you’re not paying attention.
The anger and actions of the people in Ferguson are justified. They’re citizens who are outraged by the corruption of the justice system and by the fact these police forces are allowed to gas them and shoot into crowds of innocent civilians, whenever they’re rallying in a peaceful protest that the media refuses to expose. They’ll try to turn it around on these people as often as possible.
For those of us who are, and have been paying attention to what’s going on - to the people of Ferguson, hat’s off to you for standing up. Know there are people who know the truth and aren’t listening to what news sources like CNN, FoxNews and NBC are distorting the information into.
DO NOT FALL INTO THE ILLUSIONS AND DISTORTIONS OF THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA ABOUT THE EVENTS IN FERGUSON. DO NOT FALL PREY TO THEIR GAME.
THESE PEOPLE ARE STANDING AGAINST A CORRUPT POLICE FORCE THAT GOT CAUGHT UP IN THEIR OWN LIES. DO NOT JUST FALL INTO THE STORIES OF TEAR GAS, RUBBER BULLETS, RIOTS, and LOOTERS. THERE ARE EVENTS GOING ON FROM PEACEFUL PROTESTERS WHO ARE STANDING FOR JUSTICE.

Andrea Gibson appreciation post!
Andrea Gibson is an american poet who specializes in spoken word poetry. Identifying as a lesbian, Andrea Gibson performs many poems about equality, gender and acceptance. Her poems are emotionally driven and speak to many different issues. Gibson also speaks openly about her struggles with mental illness and recovery. Take five minutes out of your day to allow yourself to be inspired by her passionate poems.
Why do I love Andrea Gibson? She’s relatable, she shows you that it’s okay to feel and cry. She makes you feel comforted with her words. Andrea Gibson is incredibly talented. I saw her perform live in 2011 and it was one of the most moving experiences of my life. I’ve heard all of her poems multiple times and they still put tears in my eyes and I love it. Listen to her, allow yourself to moved and changed by her words, allow yourself to cry and feel because you will be inspired.
